This cafe is the dream of John and Penny Kennedy, and they have considerable support from local people. The couple set up a survey during 2025 to find out if residents were interested and within two days over 400 people said yes. This led them to begin searching for a suitable building, but they have met with consistent frustration due to the problems involved in getting a change of use permission. Now, their search is over at last.
The owner of a building in West Clyde Street saw a story about the play cafe in the Helensburgh Advertiser. He contacted the Kennedys and work on the conversion is already underway. The building is smaller than hoped for, but acceptable.
Promotional Products created by Helensburgh Print outlets can be a good way of advertising new local facilities. They can be designed and produced with a suitable theme and then given away.
Speaking to the Helensburgh Advertiser, Penny Kennedy said:
“We’ve scaled back our original ideas but will still have role play areas that will rotate in theme, baby toys, arts and crafts, board games, a reading nook and a plan to host lots of exciting events.”
It will be called Wiggle Room Play Cafe and will combine refreshments with educational and fun activities.Get a Free Quote for Promotional Products Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Plans
