Line-up announced for festival in Helensburgh

A whisky festival will be coming to Helensburgh in early autumn, and the line-up of drams for sampling has been revealed.

The town will host the annual Lomond and Clyde Whisky Festival, with this year’s event set to be the biggest yet. The choice of whiskies on offer is so large that festival organisers are separating them into five categories. These are The Old Guard, Legacy Distillers, Emergent Distillers, Local Heroes and Indy Innovators. Those who attend the festival will be able to explore offerings from each category during the two taster sessions.

There will be one session during the afternoon and one in the evening. Each is scheduled to run for three-and-a-half hours. Among the companies providing samples are Woodrows Whisky, Rare Find Whisky, Lochlea Distillery, North Star Spirits, Loch Lomond Whiskies and Hunter Laing.

Organisers of events like this need to find ways of spreading the word about them. Flyer printing by Helensburgh shops can be a quick and easy solution to this.

This particular event will also feature a whisky raffle. This gives those in attendance the opportunity to win some prize bottles. Many of these will be available to buy in the on-site shop too.

Helensburgh and Lomond Civic Centre will serve as the venue for the festival. It is due to be held on Saturday, 5 September, and tickets can be bought now.
