Helensburgh to welcome Scottish Opera

Helensburgh is set to welcome Scottish Opera to town early next year, when the organisation goes on tour with its latest live show.

The show is called ‘Opera Highlights: The Office Party’ and depicts the disastrous events at the party in question. The plot centres on the romantic feelings between three of the main characters and features four vocalists plus a pianist. During the course of the show, the vocalists will perform parts from both famous and more obscure operas, with the lyrics translated into English.

Scottish Opera will be taking it on a tour of the country in the spring of next year and one of the places where it will be stopping off is Helensburgh. Victoria Halls will serve as the venue for its performance in the town.

When it comes to advertising upcoming local events, Promotional Products created by Helensburgh Print shops can work well. They can be designed and produced with themes to match the events and then given away to the public.

‘Opera Highlights: The Office Party’ will be directed by Emma Doherty. Speaking to the Helensburgh Advertiser, she said she was excited by the prospect. She added:
“In the show, designed by the brilliant Kenneth MacLeod, audiences can expect to see four colleagues with complicated love triangles who are gearing up for their office party.”

It will be performed in Helensburgh on 7 February.
