The organisers of an annual festival taking place in Helensburgh have announced that grants will be available for community groups and businesses, to encourage them to sign up.
Helensburgh Winter Festival has been part of the Christmas period in the town for over a decade, drawing large numbers of people to Helensburgh each year. That makes it important to the local economy as well as the festive celebrations and the organisers are planning to expand it for 2023. It will now run throughout December, and they are keen to get more groups and companies involved.
Thus, they are offering grants of £100 for any that choose to participate in the event. A number have already committed, including Friends of Hermitage Park, Jean’s Bothy, Grey Matters, Helensburgh Art Hub, Live Argyll and Helensburgh Community Hub, but it is hoped that the grants will attract more.
Both firms and community groups are being urged to submit festive-themed ideas, with the grants set to go to the best ones. Items like promotional Pens from local shops can also help to stimulate interest in planned events like this festival.
The main festival will still include the usual activities, such as street food stalls, a Santa Dash, Grotto and festive market, but the location this year will be Colquhoun Square.
It will be held on 9th and 10th December.Get a Free Quote for Pens
