Romford entrepreneur participates in MS campaign
A Romford-based businesswoman is taking part in a national campaign that celebrates the successes of those living with MS.
Becky Walsh is a resident of Romford. Her craft business, Retro from Scratch, involves working on notebooks. She uses vintage books as a raw material and does the binding herself. Walsh has multiple sclerosis (MS) and she chooses to take a positive approach to life. As a result, she was keen to support a campaign called ‘More to uS’. She told the Romford Recorder:
Novartis Pharmaceuticals UK Limited has developed the campaign in question, which also has a website named Living Like You. Walsh stressed that she has gained access to useful information by visiting the website. Campaigns like this often use brochure printing to advertise their services to the local community.
For several years, Walsh pursued her creative path alongside her full-time employment. Since 2017, however, she has concentrated all her efforts on Retro from Scratch. MS has seriously impacted Walsh’s life. She aims to produce ten books every day, but this is not always a feasible target. She was diagnosed with her condition 11 years ago, and found the diagnosis helpful because it clarified issues she had been experiencing with her health.
Alongside the campaign, both her husband and her dogs have contributed to her quality of life.

“Most days I forget I have MS. That’s the reason I really loved this campaign, it focuses on the positives, and on what people can achieve.”
