Wet Wet Wet to team up with Go West in Manchester
From We Close Our Eyes to Goodnight Girl, the anthems will be coming thick and fast when two classic bands, Wet Wet Wet and Go West, team up at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall.
Fans will get two iconic bands for the price of one this February, as the Scottish soft rock sensations share their headliner status with London’s timeless pop rock duo.
Wet Wet Wet’s career spans five decades. They began taking the charts by storm in the early 1980s, and are perhaps best known for Love is All Around, the number one hit which covered the song by sixties act, The Troggs.
Love is All Around spent 15 weeks at the top of the charts, but devotees of the band heading to the Manchester concert will also have a host of other popular numbers to look forward to, including With a Little Help from My Friends, Goodnight Girl and Angel Eyes (Home and Away).
Go West might not be quite the commercial powerhouse Wet Wet Wet are, but they are fondly remembered by ‘80s and ‘90s music lovers, especially for their double platinum selling eponymous debut album. We Close Our Eyes, Call Me and Don’t Look Down are just some of the gems gig goers can expect.
Big city music concerts such as this are often promoted with flyer printing campaigns.
Wet Wet Wet and Go West are scheduled to perform at the Bridgewater Hall on Sunday, 4 February. The gig will begin at 7.30pm, and tickets are available online at a range of price points.
