What's Happening in Manchester, England…

Summer celebration to honour iconic city street

Manchester is set to hold a summer festival dedicated to one of its most renowned thoroughfares.

Entitled the King Street Festival, this annual event taking place in Manchester City Centre invites guests to revel in the location’s rich history and timeless architecture. From the building that formerly housed the Bank of England to the original town hall of Manchester, there are many places of interest in the area. Once a centre for the banking industry for England’s North West, it’s now known for its stylish shops, boutiques, bars, restaurants and hotels.

An anticipated event on the city’s summer calendar, the free-entry festival is organised by the Business Improvement District for Manchester (Manchester BID). Those arranging important city-wide events over the summer can sometimes use banner printing services to create large-scale advertisements to call in the crowds.

Planned activities for the two-day festival include alfresco dining, a cocktail trail, a gin-focused pop-bar with live music and street artists providing entertainment. Family-orientated fun will be readily available as well as law games, guided historical tours and special VIP retail experiences for those who love to shop. The occasion will also showcase the arrival of the acclaimed Manchester Flower Show, which returned last year alongside the festival after an absence of 15 years.

The King Street Festival will take place this summer on Saturday June 6 and Sunday June 7.
