What's Happening in Manchester, England…

New summer venue planned for Manchester

Manchester will welcome a new outdoor nightspot this summer.

A major open-air night club will open in Manchester’s city centre over the summer, taking over a location near Piccadilly, previously used as a car park.

Dubbed Square One, the new club plans to welcome DJs from around the country and abroad to take part in a series of weekly event nights throughout 2021’s summer months.

The planned parties will start in the afternoon and run until 11:00 pm, in what organisers are calling “a beacon of light in the return to clubbing”. Promoters of popular city nightspots can sometimes use flyer printing services to create colourful leaflets to hand out to members of the public and attract attendance.

Live music event spaces and nightclubs are among the businesses hardest hit by the recent pandemic, with many venues unable to open due to safety restrictions and national lockdowns.

In the recently revealed roadmap out of lockdown, night clubs will be unable to open their doors until June 21, when the government hopes it can relax laws on social distancing. Providing that the roadmap’s step four is achieved, and restrictions allow, the new outdoor nightclub will launch its first event night on June 26, featuring hot Since 82, Enzo Siragusa and Denis Sulta.

The Square One open-air nightspot will be situated on Cakebread Street.
