New luxury flats to be constructed in Manchester
Pictures showing the design of an upcoming luxury apartment complex in the centre of Manchester have been released to the public.
The development is part of the NOMA scheme created by the Co-operative Group, and will lead to the building of 455 bedsit, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom flats, adjacent to the One Angel headquarters of the Co-op.
Given the increasing difficulties for first-time home buyers, coupled with a move towards city centre living among professionals, the flats will be targeted at private renters and are being built through Moda Living – a collaboration between Generate Land and Caddick Developments.
The completed complex will contain facilities like shops, restaurants, bars, gymnasiums, lounges and meeting spaces for businesses, so there will be considerable demand for the flats when they are finished.
The Co-operative will be able to showcase them using brochure printers in Manchester, and the Co-op’s NOMA director, David Pringle, commented:
Work on the project is expected to begin next year, with the first flats available by 2017.

“Developing homes within NOMA is vital to the vibrancy of the area and the quality of the offer is completely aligned with our strategy. We want people to live here, work here and come here to shop and be entertained, so having people at the heart of the development is integral.”
