What's Happening in Manchester, England…

New chair appointed at South Manchester Business Association

The South Manchester Business Association (SMBA) recently named Liz Law as its chairperson.

SMBA is a networking group and Law is an online entrepreneur based in Altrincham. As the chief executive and founder of an online, the head of Clean up Your Clutter could use digital printing and digital business cards from Manchester in the position she has just taken on.

Law told Messenger Newspapers:

“This group has inspired me and I hope to be able to give something back. I hope to continue to move the group forward by promoting the SMBA within our local community, raising the profile of all our businesses and having a little fun whilst we all improve our bottom line.”

The previous chair of SMBA was Andrew Snowden. Law took over from him after spending less than two years in the network. However, her new appointment was not out of the blue as she had served as social secretary for the group for a period of a year. Snowden made clear that he was “genuinely excited” with the new arrangement.

SMBA has weekly meetings. At these occasions, the membership, which is over 30 strong, can benefit from exchanging information and sharing expertise. A range of sectors is represented, including insurance, construction and PR. New professional members are welcomed by the group.
