New acquisition for North West company
Pharmacy chain Well, which is based within Manchester, has announced the acquisition of the Dorset company Angel Pharmacy.
All of the Co-operative pharmacies were renamed Well earlier in 2015, following the decision of the mutual, which has its headquarters in Manchester, to sell its pharmacies to Bestway Group.
The latter paid out £620 million for them last year and has now added Angel Pharmacy to its portfolio, as part of plans for expansion that are set to cost £200 million over the next five years.
It marks the second purchase that Well has made since being rebranded, having previously acquired Care4u during March.
The company is aiming to expand its network of pharmacies to 1,000, from its current number of 798, within the next three years.
Successful companies located within the city frequently choose to make use of places that supply business card printing in Manchester, to ensure they have the networking tools they need.
The Business Development and Portfolio Director for Well, Christian Logue told the Manchester Evening News that:
Alongside purchasing new businesses, Well has also relocated to a brand new base, having taken out a lease at Merchants Warehouse.
