What's Happening in Manchester, England…

Manchesters spooky series of events return

This year, the city of Manchester prepares to mark Halloween with a series of events throughout the city.

Over recent years, the appeal of Halloween-themed celebrations has increased with enthusiasm. As the nights draw in, what better way to settle into autumn than with a few spooks and scares in the city? Flyer printing is an easy way for local people to learn about the events taking place during this time.

Halloween in the City is the name given to these celebrations, which take place until 31st October. Artists Filthy Luker and Pedro Estrellas have created a series of 16 monsters which will adorn the walls and rooftops of iconic buildings in the city. Visitors to the city can try to spot them all as they wander about the city.

Over the course of this weekend (the 28th and 29th), the Monsters Rock Festival will take place in the city centre. From 10am each day, a host of local bands will delight the crowds with covers and original music. Fancy dress is strongly encouraged.

Gruesome games and competitions throughout the city are also planned during the festival. The Monster’s Rock! Party Procession will work its way through the Arndale and Market Street throughout the weekend, where puppets, stilt walkers and street performers will entertain onlookers.

Events are free of charge.
