Manchester park light festival a UK first
In the first event of its kind for both the UK and Europe, a historic park in Manchester is set to host an innovative light show festival.
Heaton Park, the largest of Manchester’s historic green spaces, has been selected as the location for an evening event entitled Lightopia. The festival of light aims to deliver an immersive and visually exciting spectacle for a truly unique experience.
City-based event organisers can encourage the crowds to attend events by using poster printing services to create eye-catching advertisements and spread the word.
Lightopia will feature six main installations that are fully interactive for guests to take part in, which include The Love Gate, S-Harmony, Elysian Field, Flower Road, Two Moons Eagle and Happy Valley. There will be plenty of other spectacles to witness such as multimedia water-screen shows, dazzling laser light displays, immersive lights and lanterns.
The iconic Manchester Bee in light form will be found in a special installation designed to lead those attending to discover specific locations of interest around Lightopia. Educational exhibitions will also explore wellbeing, harmony, positive energy and inner happiness.
Other attractions on each night will include, family fun rides, live music and acrobatic entertainers, along with plenty of food and drinks for refreshment.
The Lightopia Festival of Lanterns and Light will be held at Heaton Park on Middleton road and run from November 21 to December 31, opening at 5:00 pm and finishing at 10:00 pm.
