Manchester gears up for festive celebrations
A vibrant hub in the north of England, the city of Manchester can always be relied up on to push the boat out when it comes to winter festivities.
This year will be no exception. Locals and visitors to the city can expect to encounter a number of events and celebrations to get everyone in the festive mood.
Weekly Festive Sundays will feature street performers and illuminations across key shopping streets in the city. Animations taking place in St Ann’s Square, King Street, New Cathedral Street, Exchange Street and the Arndale centre will include a snow globe, walking forests and living lampposts.
Puppet and lightshows are an enchanting way to attract shoppers of all ages. Using poster printing services in the area will be an effective way to highlight the events taking place in the city over this period.
Other events taking place around the city include Manchester’s famous Christmas market. Now in its 25th year, the market will host over 255 stalls in the Piccadilly Gardens. Stalls will sell seasonal gifts, food and locally created craft products. The Manchester Christmas Light trail will also illuminate the city, adding a festive touch to people’s journeys through the city.
Events take place at various spots around the city, and will run from 10 November to the 21 December. Events are free to attend.
