What's Happening in Manchester, England…

Manchester bar to honour Bavarian festival

An authentic German bar in Manchester will be hosting a special event this autumn paying tribute to a traditional occasion.

Oktoberfest is recognised as the biggest “Volksfest” or people’s festival in the world. It typically features a travelling carnival and a wine or beer festival. While this year Oktoberfest will run from Saturday, September 16 to Tuesday, October 3, those seeking to keep the party going in Manchester might find an upcoming event appealing.

Towards the end of October, Manchester bar and party venue, Bierkeller will be presenting an Oktoberfest bottomless brunch. Bars and restaurants running special events often employ talented graphic design services to create themed menus and promotional materials.

Those attending the brunch can expect all the traditional trappings of Oktoberfest at the venue. A host clad in classic Lederhosen will kick-start the event with a twist on beloved Bierhall songs and drinking games. Then, the DJ and in-house band will play all your hits to keep drinkers and diners dancing and singing on the venues famous Bierkeller benches.

Those looking for nibble to accompany their tipple at the afternoon event will find a wide range of Bavarian fare on the Bierkeller menu to choose from.

The Oktoberfest Bottomless Brunch will be held at the Bierkeller Manchester on Saturday, October 21. The bar can be found at the Printworks in Withy Grove, Manchester and the event will start at 12 pm.
