Manchester awaits arrival of indie rockers

The Scottish band, The View, is about to go on tour and is due to play a gig in Manchester at the end of November.

This four/five piece outfit was formed in Dundee in 2005, rising from humble origins as a cover band. They have since emerged as one of the most innovative indie rock groups of recent years.

Abandoning their youth training schemes, in 2006 their Mercury Prize-nominated debut album 'Hats Off To The Buskers' quickly went to number one on the UK Albums chart. They followed up this initial success with a 43-gig tour of Europe.

The band's second LP 'Witch Bitch?' entered the chart at number four. A special limited edition of the album incorporated a documentary named 'Dryburgh Style', which featured a show at Glasgow's famous Barrowlands.

Noted for their live performances they continue to tour and have now released a total of six albums. These include 'Cheeky For A Reason', 'Seven Year Setlist', 'Ropewalk ' and their 2023 release 'Exorcism Of Youth'. To this can be added Top 20 hit singles notably, 'Wasted Little DJs', 'Same Jeans' and 'Superstar Tradesman'.

Tickets cost £32.45 inclusive of a transaction fee. Printing services can prove most useful when it comes to the promotion of a concert or musical event.

The View's gig has a starting time of 7.00 pm on Thursday 28 November at New Century Hall, Manchester.
