Manchester Airport to host employment fair
Manchester Airport is facing its busiest summer season ever and is offering over a thousand new job opportunities.
A recruitment fair is planned for Wednesday 22nd February at Old Trafford. There will be a range of jobs on offer including ‘meet and greet’ positions, drivers, receptionists and security officers.
The high rise in employment opportunities is due to the steady growth the airport has enjoyed over the past few months, according to airport CEO Ken O’Toole. Some airlines have also announced that they will be increasing services over the coming summer months.
O’Toole also said, as reported in the Manchester Evening News:
He goes on to explain how this growth has had a positive impact on employment and training opportunities within the airport and will have wider economic benefits for the region. Many other employers at the airport are also recruiting including Swissport and Gate Gourmet.
The airport is co-ordinating with local authorities to hold several other events in the Manchester area over the coming weeks, to give people as many chances as possible to find out about the job opportunities on offer. Interested applicants may want to have presentation folders ready with their CV inside.
