What's Happening in Manchester, England…

American singer-songwriter to play Manchester

An acclaimed Manchester venue is set to open its doors and welcome a famous US songsmith to its stage.

Former band leader of 90s trio Grant Lee Buffalo, Grant Lee Phillips will be performing live at Manchester’s Night & Day Café this December. From cafes and clubs to stadiums and arenas, venues of all shapes and sizes hosting live music events sometimes use specialist poster printing service to produce attractive adverts for upcoming gigs.

Since going solo, Phillips has enjoyed a successful career with albums in a wide variety of musical styles that explored different subjects. “Mobilize”, released in 2001, featured electronic music, while its follow up “Virginia Creeper” gave a fresh spin on country rock. In 2009’s “Little Moon”, he looked at fatherhood and explored his native American origins in “Walking in the Green Corn”. The Manchester gig will give Phillips a chance to play tracks from his most recent album, “All That You Can Dream” which was released this year for British audiences.

Phillip is also well-known for his role in the hit TV cult show The Gilmour Girls, as the town troubadour playing his own music and classic tracks by artists like Paul Simon and The Beach Boys.

Grant Lee Phillips will now play the Night & Day Café situated at 26 Oldham Street in Manchester on Tuesday, December 6. The gig will start at 7:30pm and end at 10:30pm.
