American country group has Manchester date
Popular country group, Little Big Town, is currently on tour and due to play in Manchester early in September.
This quartet, from Homewood Alabama, arrived on the scene more than 20 years ago. It consists of Jimi Westbrook, Kimberly Schlapman, Karen Fairchild, and Phillip Sweet. Their sound depends on a basic vocal harmony in a four-part structure, each singer taking an alternate lead, Sweet and Westbrook also play guitar.
The group's self-titled initial album came out on Monument Records and included two small country chart hits. By 2005 they had signed up with Clint Black's Equity Music organisation. Their second LP, 'The Road To Here' was a success going US platinum It delivered a couple of hit singles in ' Boondocks' and 'Bring It On Home'.
The band has been nominated for 45-plus awards winning around 20. Their big break came with the albums 'Tornado' (2012) and 'Pain Killer' (2014) which resulted in a series of No.1 tracks notably 'Pontoon',' 'Day Drinking' and 'Tornado', not to mention, country's 2015 biggest-selling song 'Girl Crush'.
Tickets range in price from £31.50 to £53.50 inclusive of a transaction fee. Promotional products can be an effective way of publicising a future concert or musical event and are often sold at gigs.
