Top 1980s music festival returning to Macclesfield

The top UK music festival dedicated to the hits of the 1980s is set to return to a site in Macclesfield later this year, and a star-studded line-up of performers will be taking to the stage.

The Rewind Festival has become an essential event both for people old enough to remember New Romantics and giant shoulder pads and younger people who are 1980s curious. This year’s festival will see Squeeze perform as headliners for the very first time, with hits like ‘Up the Junction’ and ‘Cool for Cats’ sure to be part of their main stage show.

Elsewhere, Andy Bell of 1980s pop titans Erasure is on the bill once again, alongside Big Country, Nik Kershaw, Go West, Nick Heyward, Marc Almond, ABC and UB40. The venue for the two-day festival will be Capesthorne Hall, Macclesfield.

Poster printing from shops in Macclesfield is one way that upcoming events like festivals can be promoted to potentially interested parties in the surrounding area of a venue.

Greatest Hits Radio is collaborating on this year’s festival; presenter Jenny Powell told the Manchester Evening News that:

“I’ll be reuniting with my Greatest Hits Radio colleagues Pat Sharp and Martin Kemp. I can’t wait to see you all there for the good times and great music.”

Rewind 2023 takes place from 4th to 6th August.
