New KFC opens in Macclesfield

Residents of Macclesfield have a new place to go when they are hungry, with the news that fast food giant KFC has opened its latest restaurant at a location within the town.

This US chain that specialises in meals based around fried chicken has opened its doors at the retail park Barracks Mill, in Macclesfield. It is a restaurant that is offering both food deliveries and walk-in meals. Furthermore, in addition to providing the town with another option for eating out, it has also created jobs for 40 people living in Macclesfield – with more expected to follow.

Sarah Wheeler, who is a local, has been appointed general manager of the outlet. A spokesperson for the company said that she was thrilled to take on the role due to her enthusiasm both for food and for working with the public.

According to Cheshire Live, this spokesperson went on to say:

“Sarah is well known for growing and developing her teams to deliver our world famous chicken with heart.”

Flyer printing that has been produced by shops in Macclesfield is one option available to new food and drink outlets like KFC, when they first open and are keen to spread the word.

It has been confirmed that the Macclesfield KFC will be part of the FareShare project that distributes food to community organisations and charities based in the area.
