Man from Macclesfield to take on Paris charity walk

A man living in Macclesfield is set to walk all the way from his hometown to Paris before the end of the year, to raise money for charities that will support those in need over the Christmas period.

Henry Moores has committed to undertaking a 500-mile trek that will take him to the French capital. It is a challenge he expects to take 23 days to complete, and he is hoping to walk 22 miles per day during that time. This is all with the aim of hitting a target of £3,000 that will go towards providing festive gifts, meals and other provisions for those who are financially disadvantaged.

Even if he reaches that goal and makes it all the way to his designated finishing point at the top of the Eiffel Tower, it will not be the end of his journey. He Plans to spend Christmas delivering hundreds of parcels of food throughout Macclesfield and other areas of Greater Manchester.

Flyer printing from local shops can be a great addition to online promotions when it comes to getting the word out about upcoming fundraisers such as this.

The 21-year-old has stated that the distance he will have to cover does not concern him, although being away from his family for an extended period of time does.

Henry Moores will set off in late October and arrive in Paris in November.
