Macclesfield to prepare for an evening of laughter

The Macclesfield Comedy Club is due to stage a stand-up show (with support) in the town at the beginning of April.

It features a selection of well-known award-winning comedians. The trio on this bill includes Steve Gribbin, Pam Ford and Jonathan Mayor, who will be performing as well as acting as the compere for the evening.

Steve Gribbin is a “vertically challenged, guitar strumming Merseyside satirist”, whose amusing songs are combined with perceptive comments and observations. This has led to him becoming an audience favourite on the circuit, most notably for his show 'Shunted Again', which he performed at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2017.

Birmingham-born comic Pam Ford manifests an Australian accent but grew up in Kent. She is a former pub landlady who reportedly delivers an edgy style of humour, with gags centring on real-life situations. With appearances in the UK, Europe and Australia, Ford is also a regular at Edinburgh Fringe.

Jonathan Mayor is the resident compere at the Frog & Bucket Comedy Club in Manchester. He also presented The North West Comedy Awards in 2006 together with Bradley Walsh.

A standard ticket costs £15.00. Printing services can greatly assist in the promotion of a stand-up gig or theatrical event.

The Macclesfield Comedy Club’s show has a starting time of 7.00 pm on Thursday, 10 April at RedWillow Macclesfield.
