Macclesfield to get new veterinary hospital

Macclesfield is set to get a brand new veterinary hospital that will offer cutting-edge equipment and treatments, following the news that Cheshire East Council has approved the Plans.

The Council gave the nod to a change of use application for an empty unit at the industrial estate in Lyme Green, Macclesfield. The new hospital facility will be taking over Unit 107, in Heather Close, which was formerly home to the THG Studios creative agency, but which has been lying vacant since that company moved out early in 2021.

Orbit Investments is the company behind the Plans for the facility and it has more than a decade and a half of experience in providing veterinary care for animals. Its application says that it is the main such provider in the UK and that its hospital will open seven days a week and 24 hours a day.

Stationery printers in Macclesfield can help facilities like this to run smoothly on a day-to-day basis, by supplying them with the various administrative Forms they need.

It is also expected that a number of jobs for local people will be available once the vet hospital launches. Six receptionists, eight vets – five of whom will be full-time and three part-time – and six veterinary nurses will be needed as staff.

An opening date for the hospital is still to be announced.
