Construction of the Poynton relief set to benefit from the upgrade to the local infrastructure. Demand for Print shops can increase when a scheme improves a local economy, particularly when the impact of the initiative is sustained.
Councillor Craig Browne is the deputy leader for Cheshire East Council. Browne told North West Place:
“The council sees this scheme as a key priority in our major infrastructure Plans to improve connections across the whole borough.”
Browne said that the new road should lead to job creation. In addition, he suggested that congestion will be alleviated. He specifically mentioned that Macclesfield will secure an advantage as a result of the work.
Only a single carriageway will be built, but part of the roadside will be allocated to pedestrians and cyclists. A pair of bridge crossings may also help local people.
Funding for the construction comes from several sources. The local authority is providing almost half of the resources, while the Department of Transport is making a significant contribution. Developers are also going to provide some money.
If all goes to plan, traffic will be using the road within two years. The finished road is going to be about three kilometres in length.
