'Macclesfield in May' is a new community festival, supported by the local council, that is due to take place in the town over one weekend at the beginning of May.
This was previously known as 'Party in the Pews' and held at Christ Church for a four year period. The organisers then decided to rename the event and relocate it to the town centre. It has a greater capacity so that more people are able to attend.
On the Saturday, there will be live music, including DJs, bands and a host of other entertainments from noon until 11.00 pm.
A stage is due to be built in Market Place, with vendors providing street food on site and a Town Hall-based VIP Lounge. The details of the bands who have agreed to perform will be announced over the coming weeks.
Sunday is a day for classic cinema, when a selection of family-orientated blockbuster films are to be shown, together with all-day children's entertainments. There will also be a 'Pop-Up Puppet Cinema' delivering its own distinctive performance of the movies 'Jaws' and 'Back To The Future'.
Entry is free on both days. Banner printing can be effective option when it comes to the promotion of a festival or community event.
'Macclesfield in May' will take place on Saturday, 3 and Sunday, 4 May at Market Place in Macclesfield.
