A brand new store selling jewellery may be set to open within a vacant unit in the centre of Macclesfield, with a sign having been placed in the window indicating Plans for just that.
The unit in question is situated on the west side of Chestergate, not far from the Spectacular Fireworks outlet. A sign has been put up in the front window stating that people will be able to buy hand-crafted jewellery, as well as getting any items that they already own repaired. It also says that there will be a boutique showcasing the stylish pieces that are on offer.
Outside of this notice, little is currently known about the Plans. This includes the name of the company that has taken over the unit and is getting ready to launch its new shop there.

If it does launch, it would become the second jewellery shop in Chestergate. The other one is on its east side, however, meaning there would be a reasonable distance between the two.
The unit has previously been home to a number of businesses, including Macclesfield Radio Cars and The Quilting Box.
