Macclesfield Bikeathon set to return

The Macclesfield Bikeathon is set to return to the town later on in the year.

A local charity called Just Drop In is to be the beneficiary of the bikeathon this year. Ann Wright, the chief executive of Just Drop In, is passionate about her community. Posters, Banners and other promotional materials can be useful in advertising fundraisers to the public, and these can be supplied by local printing services.

Macclesfield Town Council is providing the resources to support the bikeathon, which is taking place on May 11th. Helena Gowler, a community engagement official at the council, explained:

“We have heard from so many people just how well loved this event was. Making physical activity the fun and easy option is one of the aims of the town council and the Bikeathon is a perfect fit with this.”

Event organiser Darren Allgood remembers how Macclesfield got behind its bikeathon in the past. Allgood is optimistic about the possibility of creating the special atmosphere once more.

Participants in the event may stop for refreshments after they have left Macclesfield Leisure Centre behind. Cyclists who complete the challenge will receive a medal for their efforts.

The event offers something for cyclists of various abilities. Individuals will be able to choose between three different routes. Families may take on a six mile course, while experienced cyclists can ride through Cheshire for 60 miles. Intermediate cyclists might be tempted by a course that stretches over 30 miles.
