Macclesfield awaits arrival of eclectic American musician

The US singer-songwriter Mike Borgia is about to embark on his live 'Perfume and Plastic' tour and is due to play a gig in Macclesfield.

This multi-talented instrumentalist hails from New York, emerging out of the city's formerly thriving music scene. Noted for his strong voice and distinctive melodies, he has created a special niche for himself within the industry.

Mike effortlessly shifts between different genres from blues and alt-rock to Indie, not to mention having a substantial back catalogue of releases. His influences include artists as diverse as Chris Whitley, Howlin' Wolf, and Chris Cornell.

He has a clear DIY approach. By himself with his guitar, touring but also makes a considerable contribution to independent music, by assisting other artists who need support. His philosophy is that you 'Get what you give'.

Mike's latest and 21st album is 'Perfume and Plastic'. He is widely recognised for his powerful live performances. This represents an opportunity both for him to showcase and for the audience to hear his most recent hits.
