Macclesfield anticipates night of laughter

There will be an evening of stand-up, presented by Macclesfield Comedy Club and held in the town in mid-July.

With a foursome bill of award-winning comedians, the support act is yet to be announced. The comics so far listed are Kiri Pritchard McLean, Tom Wrigglesworth and Jonathan Mayor, who is also acting as the Master of Ceremonies.

She notably contributes to 'Frankie Boyle's New World Order. A regular on BBC radio, Kiri features on 'The News Quiz', not to mention hosting a BBC Radio Wales show.

Tom Wrigglesworth hails from Yorkshire and is an award-winning funny guy. His 'Tom Wrigglesworth's Open Return Letter to Richard Branson' sold out; it won him a Chortle 'Best Show' Award, plus an Edinburgh Festival comedy nomination. With TV and radio appearances, he is a leading UK stand-up.

MC Jonathan Mayor, a mischievous bundle of laughter, toured with Sarah Millican and has acted as a warm-up for Joe Lycett.
