This is an annual event that is intended to raise awareness of the importance of physical fitness. The theme of the 2022 day is ‘Fitness Unites Us’ and the owners of the Everybody Health and Leisure chain have announced a programme of activities for people in the local area, all of which they can take part in free of charge.
These will include the punningly-titled ‘Try-athlon’ taster session to show people the benefits of regular exercise at a leisure centre, plus virtual meditation classes and a combination health and fitness sessions. Flyer printing from shops in Macclesfield can be a very effective complement to online advertising when it comes to on-off events of this sort.
There are nine swimming pools and 16 leisure centres run by Everybody Health and Leisure throughout the area, including the one in Macclesfield. A spokesperson for the chain told Macclesfield Nub News that:
“We can’t wait to welcome everyone, both members and non-members to come along and try out our free sessions to show people what our facilities have to offer.”
National Fitness Day is 21st September, and these classes will run between then and 24th September.
