Singer/songwriter Rob Clamp is about to embark on a tour and is due to play Macclesfield at the beginning of November.
This newcomer hails from Southampton, citing musicians such as Bruce Springsteen and Ben Howard as among his influences. He writes songs based on real-life experiences, delivering them with acoustic guitar accompaniment, plus a percussive foot pedal.
Rob has acted as support for Frank Turner, not to mention The Bluetones, and featured on 'BBC Introducing'. Winning the 'Purbeck Rising' in 2022' along with 'The Twang Factor 3 - Americana UK in 2023'. This has all contributed to his increased impact on the British folk Scene.
2023 also saw him sell out venues across Southern England, and he has recently enhanced his reputation further in 2024. Thanks to performing at London's AMA UK Showcase as well as heading up the popular public vote at Blackpool's UK West Coast Folk Festival.
Rob's first LP, 'Lost Soul', came out last March, which just happened to coincide with his first-ever UK/European tour in the Spring.
Tickets cost £11.00 inclusive of a transaction fee, whilst the venue itself is not wheelchair-accessible. Poster printing shouldn't be underestimated as a resource when it comes to the promotion of a concert or musical event.
Rob Clamp's gig has a starting time of 7.00 pm on Thursday 7th November at The Button Warehouse, Macclesfield.
