Two British singer/songwriters present 'An Evening With Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman' and are due to play Macclesfield at the end of October.
This Dartmoor-based married musical partnership has fine-tuned its work to present original songwriting and musicianship. Indeed, from their early years in supergroup Equation to their latest album 'Almost A Sunset', they have become two of the most significant and enduring artists.
The couple has twice picked up the 'Best Duo' at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, not to mention, 'Best Duo' at the Folk.com Awards. They continually deliver distinctive and solid performances, both live and on record.
In a more than two decades career, Katheryn and Sean have always been radical. They mix traditional songs with their own material, which encompasses everything from the melancholy and sweet to the wry and even the political.
Their story spans 20 years of collaborating with artists such as Seth Lakeman, Show of Hands, Levellers, Cara Dillon, Fotheringay and Kate Rusby. The pair are now recognised as staples of modern British folk.
A standard ticket costs £18.00. Printing services can be a useful point of contact for those engaged in the promotion of a concert or musical event.
Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman's show has a starting time of 7.30 pm on Sunday 27th October at Mads Little Theatre, Macclesfield.
