Country music duo en route to Macclesfield

The Shires are taking to the road with their 'Two Of Us - Acoustic Duo Tour' and are due to make an appearance in Macclesfield this summer.

Singer-songwriters Crissie Rhodes and Ben Earle have, in the last 10 years, acquired both a solid reputation as well as an army of transatlantic fans. Their big break came in 2014, thanks to the song 'Nashville Grey Skies', which is about Britain's need for a thriving country scene.

'Brave', their 2015 debut LP entered the UK's Top Ten, the first British country group to do so. Whilst the follow-up, 'My Universe' proved to be the quickest selling ever.

The Shires can boast four top-five albums in the UK Chart, five at number one in the UK Country Chart, 100 million sales plus streams, a couple of Gold discs and a host of singles. They continue to release critically acclaimed and successful LPs.

The duo previously acted as support for major country stars, notably Carrie Underwood and Shania Twain. Subsequently, becoming the first British artists to perform on the C2C Festival's main stage.
