Brand-new cocktail bar to open in Macclesfield

The nightlife scene in Macclesfield is set to get a new addition from next month, with the news that a cocktail bar that will offer live music shows and drag performances is to open.

This venue will be called the Urban Vixen, and it will be situated within the centre of Macclesfield. The chosen site is on Mill Street and was formerly home to the Revolution bar, ensuring that there is no overall loss to the night-time offering in the town following its closure. The owners of the new venue are Urban Fox Bars Ltd.

The company is stating that the Urban Vixen will combine live music gigs and drag shows, with many of the music nights being hosted by drag acts. Among the options available on the menu will be a bottomless high tea.

Posters produced with the help of graphic design shops in Macclesfield can help the owners of new bars to promote them with the right image ahead of their launch.

Kate Cairns, who works for Urban Fox Bars Ltd, told Cheshire Live that:

“The owner Thom Danson already has connections to Macclesfield. He saw an opportunity and decided that this venue just fitted in with his vision.”

It is expected that jobs for 30 local people will be created when it opens, which is scheduled to happen in the middle of September.
