The company, which was launched 14 years ago and has gone on to become a major player within its sector, has agreed a deal for a unit measuring 258,503 sq. ft. within Lutterworth’s Magna Park. The space that it will be moving into is a cross dock facility that has been there for a decade and a half but has recently undergone extensive refurbishment.
Magna Park is Europe’s biggest centre dedicated to distribution and has been a real success story since it opened. Many of the world’s top companies in the e-commerce, distribution and third-party logistics sectors are based within it, including DHL, Argos and Asda. Now the news that Wayfair is joining them will further boost its reputation, which is known all around the world.
The facility is owned by IDI Gazeley, a distribution park investment and development firm and its UK managing director, Alex Verbeek, told Cabinet Maker that:
“The unit’s high-quality design, as well as extensive sustainability credentials, combined with prime position are perfectly in line with the business’s requirements.”
Verbeek added that the company was pleased to assist Wayfair with its development.
