The logistics sector should benefit from the establishment of a new training centre. This summer, Lutterworth will accommodate the Centre for Logistics Education and Research. Stationery printers are handy for new organisations, especially when communication is central to their mission.
Bittesby House is temporarily going to house the centre. There are concrete Plans for the hub to move to a facility tailored to its specific needs. Around 1000 students at a time could use the place in question. Edward Sweeney, a professor at Aston University, told East Midlands Business Link:
“Operating within a highly competitive environment with the challenges of harnessing new technology and ‘big data’ across businesses of all sizes in a changing political and environmental context requires a highly skilled and professional workforce.”
It would not have been possible to move forward with the training centre without a great deal of cooperation. Aston University has teamed up with North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College to make progress on the scheme.
Marion Plant is the chief executive and principal of North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College. She explained that the new venture will embrace distance learning, while providing a lot of training face-to-face.
Businesses shall receive information from the centre. Plant pointed out that companies may be in need of accurate data about apprenticeships.
