The schools involved in the partnership have retained their distinctive identities as they have not opted for academy status at this stage. However, they have exchanged best practice and worked on getting positive outcomes for pupils.
The primary schools involved in the scheme have already learned a lot. In particular, they have been focusing on leadership and teaching methods. Judith Hicks is the Chair of Governors for Bawnmore Infant School and she told the Rugby Advertiser:
“As a member of the federation committee, our governing body has been able to explore the financial benefits of collaboration as well as developing leadership and teaching by sharing resources with other like-minded schools.”
Leah Adams is the headteacher at Northlands Primary. She expressed her joy at what has been achieved through joint working so far. She commented on the opportunities which have come the way of her team. In particular, she mentioned networking possibilities and underlined the scope for professional development. Better learning for children is her goal.
