Plans revealed for care home in Lutterworth
Plans have been revealed for the construction of a new care home in Lutterworth, on a site currently occupied by an empty building.
The company behind this project is Barcroft Estates and it has submitted an application to the local council. The company is hoping to build the care home on Crescent Road, Lutterworth. It has chosen a site that is occupied by a building that used to house medical supplies, which is called Caldow House. If the plans are given the go ahead by the council, this building would be knocked down.
What Barcroft Estates wants to create is a care home with beds for 75 people. It would include a range of amenities for residents, such as dining rooms, lounges, a hairdressing salon, a cinema and a cafe.
Among the services that the home would offer are respite care, residential care and dementia care. Barcroft is promising a facility that would meet the highest modern standards.
