Plans for a housing development to be constructed east of Lutterworth have recently been submitted to the relevant authorities.
The scheme involves the construction of around 1,000 homes in the affordable category. Business spaces and community facilities will also be added to the mixed development. Graphic design can be a useful tool when created plans for projects like this.
Leicestershire County Council is supportive of the initiative and Councillor Byron Rhodes told East Midlands Business Link:
“New homes are in demand. And our focus is on creating quality, affordable houses that will help people get on or move up the property ladder.”
Councillor Rhodes has recognised the importance of selecting the right location. He has suggested that the strategy could diminish the pressure to develop land in less appropriate parts of the area.
Feedback from local people has already helped shape the complex plans. The hope is that further engagement with the community will prove beneficial. People may be won over by the prospect of two new schools, while the appeal of fresh transport infrastructure might also have a positive impact.
On March 22nd, a drop-in event will take place in Lutterworth and will give residents an opportunity to view the results of the work so far. Council officers will be present and ready to take questions. Last autumn, nearly 1,000 individuals had a look at some of the details of the vision.
