Plus-size clothes range launched by Lutterworth fashion firm

The Lutterworth-based supermarket fashion company George, which has become one of the leading UK clothing brands, is seeking to increase its appeal still further through the launch of a range of plus-size clothes.

The firm, which Asda owns, has stated that the new range of clothes will start at size 18-20 and go up to the 30-32 size, adding up to 35 brand new designs in total.

The company’s head of design, Helen Low, stated that those who purchase George clothing have expressed a desire for plus-size options that are fashionable, high quality and affordable, and that these new pieces had been created with this in mind. She commented:
“We have used our expertise to really work with garments that are cut perfectly, so the look and fit of these pieces means our shoppers never have to compromise on style.

“Our range will take each of these important elements and deliver a fashion-forward capsule wardrobe that will make women look and feel great.”

George has the option of utilising catalogue printing in Lutterworth to provide updated clothing Catalogues featuring images of the fresh lines.

The company is already on the up, with recently released figures showing that it has now surpassed Marks and Spencer in terms of volume of sales – putting it second only to Primark in this respect.
