This project is being called Lutterworth Town Centre Masterplan and has been put together by the Council alongside the TEP consultancy firm. The vision that has been unveiled to the public would use a brand new public plaza as its focal point, but is also proposing to create a number of artworks and spaces for the community with the town centre.
The Council has already consulted closely with residents in putting together the plan, as well as taking on board contributions from groups like Blooming Lutterworth, Lutterworth Town Estates and the Lutterworth Retail Forum. However it wants to get final feedback before deciding whether to go ahead with it.
Brochure printing shops in the area are often hired to produce leaflets showing off Plans like this one.
Speaking to the Leicester Mercury, Phil King from the Council said:
“This masterplan has been a consultative process and will aim to enhance the character and historic interest of the town, and encourage more visitors. I’d like to thank everyone whose input has helped produce such an ambitious and exciting vision.”
The decision on the plan will come at the end of the month.
