Lutterworth Town Council has announced that it is hoping to create this wildflower area within Lutterworth Country Park. The blueprint it is looking to follow is that of the similar area in Welland Park, Market Harborough that has proven to be enormously popular with residents of the town, and which received an East Midlands in Bloom gold award earlier this year.
The project would see the chosen piece of land at the park cultivated to enable different types of wildflower to grow there – with the one the council is looking to emulate featuring over 25 different kinds.

According to the Harborough Mail, the council said in a statement that it was currently looking into the best seed options, before adding:
“We are also exploring the possibility of introducing more wildflower areas along the river bank in Market Harborough to the Commons car park. We’ll keep you posted as the projects develop and grow!”
The council hopes to have this wildflower area ready by sometime next year.
