Lutterworth to get new hub for banking

Lutterworth is set to get a brand new hub for banking, situated in the heart of the town.

This news will come welcome for residents following recent the town’s recent branch closures. It will be a Cash Access UK hub, an organisation jointly run by the major banking companies, and will be located on High Street.

The website for Cash Access UK confirms that a lease for the building has already been signed, and that work on preparations has now started.

The Post Office will manage the services provided in the hub, including the ability to carry out cash transactions. Customers who have accounts with any main UK building societies and banks will be able to take advantage of them.

There will also be a service enabling people to speak to their individual banking providers. Barclays will be based there each Monday, Natwest on Tuesdays, Wednesdays Santander, Thursdays Nationwide and Friday will be the turn of Lloyds.

Stationery printers in Lutterworth will prove crucial when the hub opens, as there will be a lot of paperwork involved in the banking hub’s everyday running.

Gareth Oakley from Cash Access UK said that everyone should be able to deal with transactions and other banking issues without difficulty. There will be options to cash in Cheques, as well as paying utility bills and checking bank balances.

An official opening date is still to be announced.
