Lutterworth to get new homes

A number of brand-new homes will be constructed at a site in Lutterworth following the demolition of a derelict building that was formerly used to house a community centre.

This building was formerly home to Swiftway Community Centre but had been lying empty for some time. Now it has been knocked down and a development that will consist of three houses and 13 flats is set to be put up in place of it. Harborough District Council gave the Plans for the site in Central Avenue the green light at the end of last year.

They will see the derelict community centre replaced by what the developer is describing as housing for local people of a high standard and that will enhance the Lutterworth area. OBJK Developments Ltd is the company behind the project.

It will see an L-shaped building with three storeys constructed, which will contain both the 13 flats and the three houses. 11 of the flats will have one bedroom, with the remainder being two-bedroom properties.

Brochure printing with colour pictures provided by Lutterworth shops can help housing developers to show off properties like these to people who might be interested in buying or renting them.

In addition to the housing, OBJK Developments will be creating more spaces for the parking of vehicles at the site during the construction.
