The proposals for this development in east Lutterworth were given the nod by the local council in the summer of 2020. The project is called the Lutterworth East Strategic Development Area (SDA) and will cover a 550-acre site. The finished development will include 2,750 homes, as well as space for local businesses and for community use by the people who live in it.
It will also see the construction of two brand new primary schools and is expected to lead to the creation of jobs for roughly 2,500 people. In turn, it is being predicted to draw outside investment to Lutterworth of up to £1bn once it is up and running.
Any companies that move into this SDA following its completion will be able to turn to Lutterworth outlets that provide essential items like printed Business Cards for use in networking.
According to East Midlands Business Link, Harborough District Council leader Cllr Phil King stated:
“This development will provide a much-needed investment boost to the local economy, with job and training opportunities during construction.”
He added that it would also help solve the housing shortage. Most of the homes and other facilities will be built by 2031.
