Projects based in Lutterworth and the wider borough are set to benefit from a brand new funding source that has been created by Harborough District Council.
Called the Community Fund, it is worth £1 million in total. This will be distributed to projects in Lutterworth and other parts of the borough that help people with their mental and physical health.
Schemes that are designed to improve the environment, boost community pride or help businesses in the area to thrive will also be able to apply for funding from it.
The money is to be divided up between every parish and town. Lutterworth community projects have been earmarked to receive £150,000 from it, with the same amount going to ones in Market Harborough. How exactly the sum remaining after that will be distributed to the other places has yet to be confirmed.
Projects set up by residents that are designed to improve the quality of life for others in the same town or city often make use of flyer printing from local Print shops. This can help to spread the word and persuade more people to become involved in them.
