A pupil from a school in Lutterworth had her design printed on Brochures throughout the region as part of the recent royal jubilee celebrations.
Katie Tebbutt, a student from Lutterworth High School had more than one reason to celebrate the Queen’s diamond jubilee recently. Katie was the winner of a locally-run competition that encouraged pupils from schools in the region to design a front cover for a jubilee brochure that was produced and distributed around the town to promote events that marked the occasion. The design that Katie created featured an image of the queen as well as an image of the crown and other royal iconography. The design was applied to the layout of the promotional booklet which was then produced using full colour printing by local brochure printers.
Lutterworth’s jubilee celebrations were successfully held over the weekend thanks to a family fun day and a jubilee lunch; both of which were promoted in the jubilee brochure and featured on the local council website. Many towns and councils across Leicestershire have used similar methods of brochure and leaflet printing to convey the activities surrounding the Queen’s diamond jubilee.
Katie’s design will also be printed on a greetings card which will be sent to the Queen to congratulate her on her 60 year reign. Brochure printers in Lutterworth often work with local residents to Print their bespoke designs onto promotional material. By linking in a competition like the one that Katie won, local businesses and organisations can drum up interest in their events before promotional material has even been produced; giving them even more chance of success.
