Lutterworth pub to be renovated for Christmas

A pub in Lutterworth has closed its doors on a temporary basis so that it can be given a new lease of life, with the company behind the transformation stating it will reopen in time for Christmas.

The Unicorn is owned by Star Pubs and Bars Ltd and is in the heart of Lutterworth. It is a popular venue that has become known for its community feel, but had also started to look a little worn out in recent times. It was last given a facelift over two decades ago, and has now closed for renovation works.

The process has begun, and the pub is on course to be ready for reopening in time for the busy festive season. A Star Pubs and Bars Ltd spokesperson told the Leicester Mercury that the new look of The Unicorn would be:
“A true local, serving good cask ale where people can socialise together over a drink, watch live sports and entertainment, or join in one of the pub’s games.”

Flyer printing from Lutterworth shops could be useful to the owners when they come to relaunch the pub, as it would be a quick and easy way to promote it to people living within the town and other nearby areas.

Martin Jones and his wife Claire will be taking over the running of the pub, which is due to open again on 11th December.
