Lutterworth play area to be upgraded

Harborough District Council revealed proposals to refresh one of Lutterworth’s play areas recently.

Councillor Jonathan Bateman, who focuses on open space for the council, told the Harborough Mail that the work was essential. Councillor Bateman confirmed that the implementation of the scheme would take place during the summer holidays. Graphic design is often used when producing Plans for redevelopment projects.

The play area is located on Mulberry Way. The hope is that all the specific issues can be addressed during a period of three weeks. Artists’ impressions of the space have been made available to the public in advance so that they can have a look at what it will look like upon completion.

Several important changes will be made to the site. A fresh surface will be applied to the play area. Obsolete equipment is going to be removed from the location. The play park should then benefit from the installation of inclusive items. The council is determined to ensure that local disruption is minimised during the course of the makeover.

The council is not just investing in the rejuvenation of the Lutterworth park. It has taken on similar challenges in the vicinity. It has performed work in Market Harborough, Great Glen and Fleckney already. The idea is that future activity will impact positively on other amenities at Broughton Ashley and Thurnby.
